During Asheville’s fireworks celebration a brush fire broke out alongside I-240 East, apparently caused by amateur fireworks. Asheville Fire Rescue arrived and put out the flames.

Mayor Terry Bellamy was there, as well as the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, to cut the ribbon as guests enjoyed fine drinks, food, and conversation.

We will be photographing the National Gingerbread House Competition for the second year in a row on November 15 & 16, 2009 at the Grove Park Inn. We are looking forward to seeing the creative ideas the contestants come up with this year. The houses will be on display at the Grove Park Inn until January 3 of next year.
