The 2011 Western North Carolina Green Building Directory features our photo on the cover. We took photos of several green homes in the Asheville area for Mountain Xpress and we are excited that they chose this image:

The house is designed by Scott W. Bartholomew Architecture and built by Doug Keefer with SAGE Builders.

The festival celebrating Bob Moog’s legacy has brought big acts to Asheville such as Big Boi, MGMT, Massive Attack, Thievary Corporation, Hot Chip, and many others. Contintental Teves – HCPED Part 3

Continental Teves in Fletcher, North Carolina manufactures brake calipers for North American car companies such as BMW and Mercedes. The plant was opened in 1997 and employs over 300 people. Here are a few photos we captured for them.

The Oriole Mill in Hendersonville, NC – HCPED Part 2

The Oriole Mill in Hendersonville, North Carolina is a textile mill that produces natural fiber bed coverlets, shams and throws. We enjoyed photographing this huge industrial building (over 70,000 sq. ft.) with all its looms, spools, gears, and levers. Owner, Stephan Michelson, showed us around the mill and also took the time to do a portrait with us (last photo).

Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development – Part 1

Recently we were commissioned by the Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development (HCPED) to photograph some fresh, new photography for use in their Annual Report (designed by Kelso Advertising), as well as for their marketing. We spent a few days in Henderson County photographing local businesses, historical landmarks, and government buildings. This series of blog posts will be divided up in to several parts focusing on each location we photographed. First stop: the beautiful Henderson Country Courthouse.

Hemp House Photos in USA Today Article

Push Design based in Asheville, NC hired us to photograph its recently constructed Hemp House, which is the first hemp house built in North America.

4th of July Fireworks in Downtown Asheville

We hope everyone had a wonderful (and safe) 4th of July celebration this year. Here are some photos we took last night of the firework celebration in downtown Asheville, NC.

During Asheville’s fireworks celebration a brush fire broke out alongside I-240 East, apparently caused by amateur fireworks. Asheville Fire Rescue arrived and put out the flames.
